Responsible AI automation: Start with repetitive work and clear checks
AI should reduce repetition without making ownership and quality checks disappear.
Start with repetitive work that has reasonably clear inputs and outputs, such as formatting information, summarising bounded material, or preparing a first draft. Avoid beginning with high-impact work whose conditions are still unclear.
Decide what data the system may use, who checks the result, and when a person must take over the decision. These checks keep automation from making accountability disappear.
Keep the important flow, prompts, and rules with the team so others understand what the system can and cannot do. Ongoing operation should not depend on one person or one tool.
